WOODLEY CONCERT BAND ARE PLAYING AT WOODLEY CARNIVAL, WOODFORD PARK, WOODLEY ON SATURDAY 14 JUNE at 5.30pm 5 weeks, 16 hours, 25 minutes, 3 seconds until your next chance to hear the band

One member of the Woodley Concert Band has decided to start recruiting new members - but maybe he's gone to some rather extreme lengths!!

Gregor, one of the trumpet players in the band, has travelled out to China for a few months to see if he can find a few new brass recruits for the band. He has been very busy over the past few months making sure that nothing could possibly go wrong. It has been rumoured that a major part of his preparations consisted of studying the language by reading the menu in his local takeaway - to the point where he believes he will be able to get by communicating just with numbers.

Everyone in the band is wishing Gregor the very best of luck, and we look forward to seeing him, plus, we hope, a whole new crop of "Blass Prayers" in a few month's time!

p.s - Don't worry - the drummer wrote that number in his notebook - just in case!!!!!
