For the Autumn Concert the Woodley Concert Band will have some 50 or so musicians drawn from all parts of Berkshire and beyond on stage.
The concert is titled "Saturday Night at the Movies" and, as the title suggests, will consist of music that started life on the big screen.
Some of the most popular composers of the 20th century have written music for films, and the concert will include pieces by such well known tunesmiths as John Williams, Henri Mancini, Elmer Bernstein, Michael Kamen and even Charlie Chaplin.
The films represented, span a wide spectrum, from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves to Star Wars and Bridge on the River Kwai to The Graduate.
The band is delighted to welcome our two ever popular vocalists Tania Pratt and Robin Colyer.
